- The New Jersey Nets looks to halt a six game losing streak when they host The Memphis Grizzlies at The Prudential Center in Newark.
The Nets are coming off a 103-89 loss against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night. The team has not lost seven in a row since December of 2010. New Jersey has now lost eight of their last nine games and are a disappointing 3-10 at home this season.
With seven of their next nine games to be played on the road, The Nets will try to exploit the tired legs of The Memphis Grizzlies, who just capped off a five game homestand with a 93-83 win over the Houston Rockets last night.
Mike Conley and Rudy Gay led the way for Memphis with 21 and 20 points respectively. The Grizzlies capitalized off of Houston’s 18 turnovers by converting them into 27 points. The team shot 47.9% from the field in the win.
Memphis has only posted one victory in their last five games away from The FedEx Forum and are 5-9 on the road overall this season. Tonight’s contest is the sole meeting between the two teams this season.
