Nets Offer Morrow, Petro, Others: Joe Johnson

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Nets have offered these players for Joe Johnson: Anthony Morrow, Jordan Farmar, Johan Petro, Jordan Williams, and DeShawn Stevenson. The Hawks are reportedly demanding that the Nets include MarShon Brooks in the trade, but the Nets are refusing. The Hawks were previously demanding that Gerald Green be included in the trade, but have since relented on this demand. The Hawks will think long and hard about this trade because it would begin a rebuilding process for them. The Nets will only accept a trade for Joe Johnson once Deron Williams makes his decision to play for the Nets or Mavs.

Jonah wrote yesterday that it is very unlikely that the Nets will trade for Joe Johnson. Joe Johnson has a very lucrative contract and if the Nets get him, they will not be able to acquire Dwight Howard. Howard recently demanded to be traded to the Nets.
