The Brooklyn Nets must be feeling very frustrated tonight after failing to make progress on completing a trade for superstar center Dwight Howard. They ran into trouble trying to trade away Kris Humphries in order to raise their salary ceiling to acquire Dwight Howard. The Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Bobcats, and Minnesota Timberwolves were all rumored to be interested in trading for Humphries if the Hump would accept a one year contract. Unfortunately for the Nets, Humphries has refused to accept a one year deal: he wants job security and a long term contract.
There really needs to be a resolution to the Dwightmare already. It is preventing the Nets from signing other good players, like Brook Lopez. It also is starting to wear on Nets fans.
