In Team USA’s toughest test yet, the Americans held on to defeat Manu Ginobili, Luis Scola, and Argentina, 86-80. The US was led by Kevin Durant, who had 27 points on 10-15 shooting in a starting role. Kobe Bryant also had 18. Ginobili scored 23 for Argentina.

For the Brooklyn Nets, Deron Williams came off the bench in this game after starting the previous game against Great Britain. He did not play or shoot especially well and only scored 3 points. 5 out of his 6 field goal attempts were from 3, which has become a regular thing for Deron in these Olympic warm-up games. Carmelo Anthony did not start either and only scored 4 points on 2-8 shooting.

Argentina is one of the best teams in the world, but the US still should have beaten them by at least 10 or 15 points. If Team USA wants to win gold, they will need to play better than they did in this game in the Olympics.
