According to a tweet by NetsDaily, all 18 of the players invited to the Brooklyn Nets training camp, which starts on October 2nd, are already at the PNY Center in New Jersey working out and preparing for the season.
Most players had already been training at the practice facility, but Monday was the first day where all 18 players were there. The latest arrivals to the PNY Center are Andray Blatche and Josh Childress, who recently signed contracts with the Nets, and Tornike Shengelia, who was unable to get a visa until recently. Deron Williams and C.J. Watson, who had been at training camp, went to Turkey and Chicago respectively, but returned to New Jersey on Monday.
This year’s Nets are showing that they are committed to the team and committed to winning. They are all arriving at training camp more than a week early, which is an excellent sign. None of these players are required to be doing basketball activities now, but they want to be in good shape and ready right when the season begins. Expect the Nets to be prepared on opening night.
