Mark Cuban Buys Nets.com, Takes Shot at Nets?

It appears that Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, upset about missing out on acquiring Deron Williams this offseason, has bought the Nets.com website domain and taken a swipe at the Nets franchise. If you go to Nets.com, you will see a picture of Mark Cuban sticking out his tongue and this message:

Looking for the New Jersey Nets?
Looking for the Brooklyn Nets?
They’re not here…but they SHOULD be!

After all, there’s just one team:

The Nets!

Also, at the bottom of the page, there is a message written in Russian that means “”Michael, have you noticed? Vilena wondered….” Of course, this message is directed toward Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov and it references a Russian prostitute. In 2007, Prokhorov was arrested for arranging prostitutes for some of his guests. He was later cleared of the charges.

Mark Cuban is a very entertaining owner, but wow, this website is insulting. I wonder how long it will last. Nets – Mavs games were already going to be interesting and this website takes it to a whole other level. We shall await the Nets’ response, if indeed Mark Cuban did arrange to buy this website.
