Tonight, the Brooklyn Nets will play the second game of a home-and-home preseason series with the Boston Celtics at the Barclays Center. The Nets enter the game at 3-0 on the preseason while the Celtics are 1-3. On Tuesday when these teams met up for the first time, the Nets did not play any of their starters, but were still able to beat Boston in a come-from-behind 1-point victory. Expect all starters to play for both teams tonight.
Additionally, expect Marshon Brooks to play in his first preseason game. He had missed the first 3 games with a foot injury and it should be interesting to see how he fits into the Nets re-designed offense. Despite getting Marshon back, the Nets will still be missing a few players. C.J. Watson will be given the night off which means that Tyshawn Taylor will move into the backup point guard role. C.J. is not injured in any way; he just needed a break. I was happy with how Tyshawn played on Tuesday night and I look forward to seeing him play more with the starters tonight.
Even though we are still in the preseason, it is hard not to be impressed with how the Nets have played so far. After beating the Boston starters with their bench players on Tuesday, I expect the Nets to pick up another W at home tonight to improve to 4-0.
