In the third quarter of tonight’s win over the Toronto Raptors, referee Courtney Kirkland did something that I have never seen before. He tried to block a player’s foul shot attempt. Kris Humphries was at the line about to take his second foul shot when Kirkland came running out of nowhere to block The Hump’s shot. Of course, Kirkland also had a whistle that he could have blown to stop Humphries from shooting, but instead he went up to block the shot. Interesting decision. This is one of the weirdest things I have ever seen in a basketball game. See the video here.
