Pieces of Brooklyn Nets' Schedule Coming Together

The NBA schedule isn’t officially coming out until next week, but leaks of some games in the Brooklyn Nets schedule are already beginning to come together. Here’s a compilation of some of the leaks we have heard so far:

Opening Night (Date TBA) – Nets @ Cavaliers

November 1 – Nets vs. Heat

December 25 – Nets vs. Bulls

January 16 – Nets vs. Hawks in London

January 20 – Nets @ Knicks

January 26 – Nets @ Celtics

February 23 – Nets @ Lakers

March 7 – Nets @ Celtics

The opening night game will most likely be on Wednesday, October 30th because Tuesday is reserved for the Miami Heat championship presentation as well as a western conference late game.

The Nets will play their first game against the defending champs. It will also be a reunion for Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce. The Nets were 0-3 vs. the Heat last year and were blown out in every game. They also play Miami twice in the preseason.

There was some speculation that the Christmas game would be Nets vs. Knicks. Instead, the Nets will be hosting the Bulls, the team that beat them in the playoffs last season.

The only Nets vs. Knicks game we know of as of now will be on Martin Luther King day. The two teams also played last year on MLK day where Joe Johnson hit a clutch shot in the final 30 seconds to give the Nets a road win in Manhattan.

The first time KG and Pierce will return to Boston will be on January 26th. Of course, they will also play in Boston once during the preseason.
