We previously knew that Jason Kidd purchased a share of the Brooklyn Nets franchise from Jay-Z. Now according to NetsDaily, Kidd also owns a share of the Barclays Center arena, which houses the Nets and in the future, the New York Islanders. Kidd reportedly owns a 0.08 percent stake in the team and 0.23 percent stake in the arena. Jay-Z had to sell his share of the team and arena in order to become an agent for athletes such as Robinson Cano, of the New York Yankees.

Jason Kidd told reporters that he is excited about his purchase:

It’s official. It’s a great opportunity. That’s it. Nothing too exciting about that. I think you look at the product and where the brand is going. And I’m a big believer that it’s going in the right direction. Like any investment, you want to continue to go with a company that’s going in the right direction, and this is a company I feel that’s going in the right direction.

Now that Kidd owns a part of the team and arena in addition to being Brooklyn’s head coach, Nets fans can expect him to be around the franchise for a long time.
