Are you a depressed Brooklyn Nets fan? Are you watching the NBA Finals saying “If only a few more breaks went our way, then we would be playing in this series!”? Have you been on the ESPN Trade Machine for the past few weeks trying to come up with a deal to move Deron Williams for basically anyone?

If you answered yes to any of those three questions, then you my friend are in need for a pick me up heading into the offseason. Sure, things didn’t go as planned this past season.  And sure, the Nets don’t currently own any first round draft picks in this upcoming draft (which is loaded with talent). Not to mention that the team has handcuffed themselves to aging players with huge contracts and can’t make a run at any big name free agent. Don’t read those last two sentences over again, for your own good.

It is time to be optimistic about this summer and the 2014-15 season! There is a light at the end of Brooklyn’s tunnel! At least there seems to be at the moment. It’s easy to get down on all of the personnel decisions and try to point fingers at who is exactly to blame for the semi-mess that has been made of the Nets roster.But a beaten down attitude can’t be the mindset of the fans and it certainly can’t be the mindset of the team.

All is not lost for the Nets going forward. I swear. It could always be worse- cut to every player on the 2010 Nets team sadly nodding in agreement. A few quick fixes and a couple calculated risks go the right way and we could be talking NBA Championship for Brooklyn in no time. So if you have been moping around since the Eastern Conference Semi Finals, then it is time to start getting optimistic about the immediate future. Here are a few reasons why…
